Blue Collar and White Collar Problem

Recently, there has been a discourse about blue-collar and white-collar wages. There is definitely a share of accuracy, but this can happen in any area and time when supply demand deteriorates.

Blue Collar and White Collar Problem

Of course, this is balanced and changes over time, but there are a few dangerous expressions in these discourses that should be considered.

  • Is it really necessary to read and specialize?

  • The number of university students dropping out of school has increased.

  • It is always possible that your income is high even if you do not read.

  • Should universities and campuses still be?

  • We also see the reader, what does he earn?

First of all, it should not be forgotten that. The profession is one of the important outputs of education, but not the only output. You can see many people around us who are educated and do jobs that they have not received their education. Of course, there is a relationship between education and profession, but this is not an indispensable bond. I guess it is undeniable that the education we receive contributes to you for life except for professional gains.

If we evaluate the shortage of intermediate staff in our country right now, it can be said that at the beginning of the underlying reasons, the technical high schools, which have been going on for 20 years, are devalued, pushed aside and the parallel education faculties will be discredited.

In other words, the problem may not be being educated, but the inefficiency of the education system. Every profession deserves respect, but why is it that such discourses are constantly emphasized while discussing the future of labour-intensive work at a time when robotics and digitalization are progressing so fast?
