Has anyone noticed changes in fuel economy after recent OTA software updates
Hi everyone,
I'm curious whether anyone else has experienced noticeable changes after receiving recent over-the-air (OTA) software updates on their vehicle.
Over the past few months, many manufacturers have been rolling out updates that claim to improve system stability, safety features, and driving performance. However, I've started wondering if these updates also affect real-world fuel economy or drivetrain behavior. That's Not My Neighbor
Here are a few things I'm interested in hearing about:
Did your average fuel consumption change after the update?
Have you noticed different transmission shift timing or throttle response?
Does the Start/Stop system behave differently?
Any changes in engine smoothness or acceleration?
Did your dealer provide any explanation about what the update actually changed?
If you've experienced this, please share:
Vehicle make and model
Model year
Approximate date of the software update
What changed afterward (better or worse)
